Tamanu oil is a miracle healing oil that has been used medicinally on skin throughout Polynesia for hundreds of years. This oil is extracted from the seeds of the tamanu tree that is known as the kamani tree in Hawaii.
Tamanu oil is cold pressed and infused into the cosmetic grade refined coconut oil called Monoi. This product is 90% coconut oil and 10% tamanu oil. The ingredients include a tiare fragrance with a dash of vitamin E.
Rich in fatty acids, tamanu has natural hydrating, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Perfect for sensitive skin, tamanu oil is used by Tahitians to help many common skin ailments including sunburns, acne and acne scars, fading scars and stretchmarks, dry skin, nail and foot fungus, rashes, blisters and skin aging.
